To Participate in PIPA:
To be Eligible, your Child Must:
- Be between the ages of 3 and 6 years old
- Have autism or related characteristics
- Speaks less than 20 functional, spontaneous words
- Currently using or a candidate for a speech-generating device
- Attends a preschool with peers
- Each family will receive $100 for participating
Recruiting School Team Members:
- To be trained as lead interventionist
- Learn strategies to increase children's social communication and interactions
- Complete behavioral questionnaire
- Lead school team member will receive $325 for providing intervention
- This may include speech-language pathologists, special education teachers, behavior therapists, paraprofessionals, or related personnel
