To Participate in PIPA:

To be Eligible, your Child Must:

  • Be between the ages of 3 and 6 years old
  • Have autism or related characteristics
  • Speaks less than 20 functional, spontaneous words
  • Currently using or a candidate for a speech-generating device
  • Attends a preschool with peers
  • Each family will receive $100 for participating

Recruiting School Team Members:

  • To be trained as lead interventionist
  • Learn strategies to increase children's social communication and interactions
  • Complete behavioral questionnaire 
  • Lead school team member will receive $325 for providing intervention
  • This may include speech-language pathologists (SLP), special education teachers, behavior therapists, paraprofessionals, or related personnel
